Villa Francesca is the pasta studio of Susan F. Raunig (a.k.a., Francesca): "I am committed to using traditional ingredients and old-fashioned culinary implements (human hands) for making pasta and I cherish my craft--a craft that I wish to preserve and share."

In 1993 and 2006, Susan learned the art and skills to become a pastaia ("pasta maker") in Bologna--the gastronomic capital of Italy.

For eight years, Susan worked as the pastaia at Cafe Juanita in Kirkland, WA.

Susan's pasta studio is located in a Kirkland "villa", surrounded by a garden designed as a peaceful refuge which also provides fruits and vegetables throughout the growing seasons.
